Pairing the Iris Smart Fob to the Iris Hub

Step 1: From the Iris app dashboard, tap the upper-right Add (+) menu, then Device.

Step 2: If searching by brand, select “Iris,” then “Smart Fob.” If searching by category,” select “Care”, then “Smart Fob”.

Tip: You might want to check to make sure the green light is flashing on the hub. This means it’s in pairing mode.

Step 3: Insert the battery so the plus sign is facing you. Put the cover on and twist tighten with a coin. The Smart Fob's LED will blink blue while searching for the hub. The hub will triple beep when pairing is complete.

Factory Reset Instructions

You should perform a factory reset when the device has been force removed from the app or the device has pairing and/or connectivity issues.

Step 1: Twist open the battery cover on the back of the Smart Fob. Remove the battery and wait ten seconds

Step 2: Reinstall the battery with the positive side facing you. Once the battery is installed, push any of the four buttons five times in a row, once per second.

Step 3: Confirm that the fob has been reset by checking that the fob's background light is flashing blue. If it does not do this, retry step 2.

Step 4: Reconnect the fob to Iris by following step 1 under Pairing the Iris Smart Fob to the Iris Hub. The hub will triple beep once the fob has rejoined the network.

Troubleshooting: Device Will Not Pair

Step 1: Verify the device you are attempting to pair is located in the same room as your hub. For best results, pair your fob in the same room as or hub, or within 10 feet, if possible.

Step 2: Make sure your hub is in pairing mode by checking to see if there is a blinking green light on the hub. If it is not in pairing mode, try re-selecting the device you are pairing in the app. If this does does not cause the hub to blink green, go ahead and reboot the hub by holding down the red button on the back of the hub approximately 3 seconds. Once the hubs light goes back to solid green, re-attempt the repairing process in the app.

Step 3: If the first two steps fail, follow the factory reset and repairing steps for your given device shown above.
