Pairing Device to the Iris Hub

Step 1: To begin, you should be in the same room as your hub. In the Iris app, go to the "Add" section, tap "Device," and browse or search for the device. This will put the hub in pairing mode, indicated by a blinking light.

             
                  Note : The sensors should be about ¼ inch apart to work.


Step 2: On the large piece, remove the back by squeezing the semi circles on either side.

Step 3: The sensor's LED will blink while searching for the hub.

Step 4: When the hub triple beeps, your device has been paired. Now let's install it.

Next Gen - What if my hub does not have enough range to reach all of my devices?

Factory Reset Instructions
 
Use Case: When the device has been force removed from the App or the device has pairing and/connectivity issues.
 
Step 1: A factory reset is useful when a device has pairing or connectivity issues, or if you have just force removed the device within the app.

Step 2: To begin, remove the battery and wait 10 seconds.

Step 3: Reinsert the battery and press the white reset button 8 times, allowing one second between each press.

Step 4: To re-pair the device, put the hub in pairing mode by tapping the plus sign on the dashboard, and the DEVICE.

Step 5: The hub will triple beep when pairing is complete.



Troubleshooting

 

Step 1: Verify the device you are attempting to pair is located in the same room as your hub.

Step 2: Make sure your hub is in pairing mode by checking to see if there is a blinking green light on the hub. If it is not in pairing mode, try re-selecting the device you are pairing in the app. If this does does not cause the hub to blink green, go ahead and reboot the hub by holding down the red button on the back of the hub approximately 3 seconds. Once the hubs light goes back to solid green, re-attempt the repairing process in the app.

Step 3: If the first two steps fail, follow the factory reset and repairing steps for your given device shown above.
